Eleven Academy — Performance Platform & Website
GPS analytics platform for the coaching staff, plus the academy's public website
The academy was paying for a GPS analytics platform that did not fit how its coaches work. I built a replacement: a FastAPI service that ingests session GPS exports and computes per-player metrics, and a dashboard where coaches compare players, track progress and manage schedules. Alongside it I built the academy's public website, the front door for parents and new players.
Role
Solo developer — architecture, backend, frontend, and deployment.
Outcome
Replaced a paid third-party platform; both the platform and the website are in use by the academy.
What I built
- FastAPI backend that parses GPS session files, normalizes them and computes distance, speed-zone and load metrics per player and per session.
- MongoDB for sessions, players and schedules; analytics endpoints designed around the dashboard's comparison views.
- Next.js dashboard with player profiles, head-to-head comparison, session reports and schedule management, mobile-friendly for use pitch-side.
- Deployed on AWS; retired the third-party subscription and the academy reports more coach-player interaction around the data.
- Public website: a fast, mobile-first Next.js marketing site with Framer Motion, built to make a strong first impression on parents and turn visits into inquiries.
